Four-ball and Foursomes Format
Alternating-Round Format
The 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans will use an alternating-round Four-ball and Foursomes format. In the Four-ball format, both players hit their own ball and the team's best score is recorded for each hole. In the Foursomes format, the players take turns hitting the same ball, with one player teeing off and the other hitting the second shot, and so on.
The tournament will be played over four rounds, with the first and third rounds being played as best ball and the second and fourth rounds being played as foursomes. The team with the lowest total score after 72 holes will be declared the winner.
Field of 80 Teams
The field for the 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans will consist of 80 teams of two players each. The teams will be determined by the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup standings, with the top 64 teams earning automatic berths. The remaining 16 teams will qualify through a Monday qualifier.
Tournament Schedule
The 2024 Zurich Classic of New Orleans will be played from April 25-28 at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, Louisiana. The tournament will be televised live on the Golf Channel and CBS.
